Day 1 – Introduction, General approach to watercolor

Supplies:

Regular watercolor painting supplies       

Subject Matter:

Commonplace subject matter you prefer

Day 2 – Saturated wet approach turn watercolor

Supplies:

  • 140 lb cold driven paper: Fabriano, D'Arches, Kilimanjaro, Winsor/Newton
  • 6 or 9-well plastic muffin riddle for mixing colors
  • 2" washed out soft brush    

Subject Matter:

Underwater scenes, vigorous, flowers

Day 3 – Improvisational providing to watercolor

Supplies:

  • Strathmore 500 focus illustration board (240-3) 22"x30"
  • plastic gem pan for mixing colors   
  • Acrylic coagulate medium (Glossy)
  • 2" flat soft sponge

Subject Matter:

Rocks, mountains, shorelines...

Day 4 – Crinkling technique

Supplies:

  • Masa paper (21"x31")
  • mounting boards or regular watercolor paper
  • liquid sumi ink
  • piece of felt or vigour towel to serve as allay for painting

Subject Matter:

Trees, woods, seasons, and anything extraordinarily textured

Day 5 – Marblizing stand for monoprinting approach

Supplies:

  • Absorbent rice exposition with wet strength (e.g.

    Kozo)

  • liquid sumi ink
  • mounting boards or common watercolor paper
